ACTEW Water Supply Augmentation Project

Project Overview

This project was designed to augment the ACT water supply by providing major pipeline links between the enlarged Cotter Dam and water treatment plant, the Murrumbidgee River and Googong Dam to enlarge the overall storage capacity and provide enhanced water security during periods of drought.

ACT Electricity and Water (ACTEW) engaged a number of contractors to carry out the works in accordance with the sequence of linked design and construction programmes developed by TBH

TBH’s Role

TBH was engaged to develop, maintain and update the master program of the augmentation project. A key aspect of the role was to identify the path going forward, anticipate upcoming issues, identify and monitor risks and provide transparency of all upcoming issues to the relevant stakeholders. Activities that represented a risk to the critical path were closely monitored.

TBH interviewed key stakeholders within the project team and provided a monthly central status update for the integrated project team as well as the ACTEW Project Director. This project was completed on time despite a particularly ambitious timeframe.
