Project Overview

TBH were engaged in 2008 to provide project management and programming services for the new $94 million Townsville Hospital North Block Project. Following the 2009 State election, further funding was allocated to the Townsville Hospital Redevelopment. $25 million was committed to fit out Level 2 of the Emergency Department and to refurbish associated areas within the existing Acute Care building specifically for an expanded NICU facility taking the total to 50 Level 2 and Level 3 cots. In 2009 an additional $250million was allocated towards the construction of 6 new buildings, these include: a Theatre Block, Central Energy Facility, Cancer Centre (2 levels), Pathology Block, Clinical Ward Block (3 Levels) and Clinical Support Services Building (6 Levels).

Recently Queensland Health bought a 16.6ha site adjacent to the existing campus. TBH is providing services to manage the Master Planning process for this new campus which has the potential to house hospital support services and provide over 600 new car spaces.
